Great place, setting is in a farm with vast fields in clear view. As the summer winds down, you find yourself wearing a flannel on a crisp day. At Stone Cow, enjoy a great variety of beers via flights and at times the bbq fire pit food. Both of these make an awesome combination, to have a relaxing weekend. This brewery on a farm in west-central Massachusetts truly offers a 5-star experience that satisfies all your senses. The combination of indoor and outdoor seating allowed for us to enjoy the picturesque views of their scenic vista. There was live music when we went to set the vibe. They offer a REAL BBQ menu, which features a mouthwatering selection of chicken, beef, and pulled pork. The recent expansion provided ample seating, making it a perfect spot for a gathering with friends and family. I was thrilled that they were also child-friendly, with a small play area and an adorable wood enclosure teepee. The on-site ice cream stand was a delightful treat. What an amazing and fun place! Only wish is that they were closer to my hometown, Beverly. Kids had so much fun sledding and playing on the play structures. The atmosphere was unique and I loved it - beers while watching the kids sled, listening to good tunes. I got a beet salad and it was fresh, tasty and perfection! We got pizzas, including a dill pickle pizza which was surprisingly delicious. Also got pretzels with hummus, apples, cheese and mustard. Too difficult to find seating inside, most people weren't ready to move on so we braved the cold - food got cold fast.g

This is a great destination brewery. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. We got a flight of beers, all were fantastic especially the milk stout. Even the non alcoholic beer "hop on the wagon" was excellent. We got the ribs, wow smoked with a dry rub, the ribs had a great bark and were super flavorful. The beans and fries were great sides. They allow dogs outside, and have a nice aground with a cool slide and carousel. They had a really good county band playing. Finished the day at the county store with some homemade ice cream. I will definitely be back very soon.

If you happen to be in the Barre area, this is definitely a place worth checking out! My fiance & I recently visited with our two little ones, ages 6 & 4. We actually don't drink alcohol, but it didn't matter, we still had a great time! They have excellent food, mainly BBQ cuisine, prices are a little high, but I will say they're well worth it, because the food is served hot, fresh & flavorful! Most meals come with 2 sides, your choice of cornbread, mac & cheese, cole slaw, just to name a few. We tried the smoked chicken which was delicious & enough for us to share. Got the hand cut french fries & homemade baked beans with it. Decent sized portions. They also have an ice cream window, with many flavors. They have cold non alcoholic beverages available as well, such as regular or chocolate milk, soda, juice. Pumpkins, playground area for kids, picnic tables, animals to see including a big pig with piglets, emu's, etc. Plenty of parking & port-a-potty's. They have a neat feature where you can give your cell # so that they can text you when your order is ready, incase you want to wander while waiting. Friendly staff. Inviting atmosphere. Great music selection. Used to be called Carter & Stevens Farm.
